According to the state Department of Corrections, Brooks moved without permission and failed to provide a new address.
She was arrested at a probation office at 712 W Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. and booked at about 7:20 p.m. into the Hillsborough County Jail, where she remains without bail.
Prosecutors said Brooks left her 9-month-old son in a bathtub with his 2-year-old sister on Aug. 3, 2007, and lost track of time as she talked with her aunt. She returned after 15 to 40 minutes to find the tub overflowing and the baby boy dead.
On Jan. 15, a judge sentenced Brooks, 23, to five years probation, six months in a halfway house, routine drug tests and counseling.
