Naked man, bottomless woman arrested on Madeira Beach

MADEIRA BEACH—A Tarpon Springs man was arrested early Friday after he tried to swim away from deputies who found him naked on the beach.

Pinellas County Sheriff's Deputies found Brian L. Williams, 44, at 1:20 a.m Friday morning near the 12900 block of Madeira Beach.

When a deputy tried to approach him, a report states, Williams swam into the surf. When deputies ordered him to come out, he refused and began to paddle away. They summoned a helicopter to search for him.

At some point, they found Lindsey J. Davis, 31, of St. Petersburg. Davis was naked from the waist down, deputies said, and her breath smelled like alcohol.

When a deputy asked Davis about Williams, she started yelling and "became irate," according to an arrest report.

Davis was arrested on a charge of disorderly intoxication, a misdemeanor. Williams was found, wearing a towel, four blocks away. He was arrested on a charge of resisting an officer, a misdemeanor.

Both were booked into the Pinellas County Jail and released Friday.
