BROOKSVILLE — A Brooksville man was arrested on a charge of child neglect Sunday after deputies say he left two small children alone. One was found sitting in the middle of a road by a neighbor.
The neighbor took the 2-year-old and called deputies when the child's parents could not be found, according to a Hernando County Sheriff's report. The child, who was not wearing shoes, told a deputy he sat down in the street because his feet were burning.
When the deputy went to the boy's house, he found a 10-month-old child asleep on a couch, the report states. About 35 minutes later, Richard Crisantemi, 22, returned and told the deputy he had been at a neighbor's for about 10 minutes.
