New Port Richey man accused of having 216 images of child pornography

NEW PORT RICHEY — A 60-year-old man was arrested Wednesday, accused of having 216 images and 10 videos of child pornography.

Between Feb. 3 and Feb. 6, detectives tracked Clarence Dingler sharing more than 150 files "of investigative interest" online, a Pasco sheriff's report states. The investigators contacted Bright House Networks to find the location of the computer connected with the files.

The information led investigators to 6511 Santee Court, where they executed a search warrant Wednesday morning and found the computer files and Dingler, who confessed to downloading them, the report states. He is a registered sex offender, according to the report.

Dingler was arrested on five counts of promoting a sexual performance by a minor and 10 counts of possession of child pornography. He remained in the Land O'Lakes jail Wednesday in lieu of $150,000 bail.
