A New Port Richey man is facing a second-degree murder charge in the shooting death of a St. Petersburg man.

Jermaine L. Bradford, 34, was arrested late Monday and booked into the Pinellas County Jail after an interview with St. Petersburg police.

He is accused in the death of George Hall, 37, who was shot several times on Saturday.

Police found Hall around 2:30 a.m. Saturday in the 1800 block of 49th Street S. near the Gulfport city limits. He had several gunshot wounds to his upper body and died about an hour later at Bayfront Health St. Petersburg.

Bradford is currently on federal probation for drug possession, police said. He is being held without bail, jail records show.
