North Tampa man accused of raping 7-year-old girl

TAMPA — A 24-year-old north Tampa man has been accused of raping a 7-year-old girl in his car at the Museum of Science and Industry.

An arrest report says the crime occurred at 2 p.m. May 30, and the victim later identified the man who assaulted her. Daryl Lee Comolli, of 13131 N 19th St., knew the child, and admitted under questioning that he touched and sexually assaulted her, Tampa police said.

The arrest affidavit notes that Comolli has "numerous skulls'' tattooed on his body.

He was being held without bail at the Orient Road Jail on Wednesday, charged with one count of sexual battery on a victim under 12 and misdemeanor possession of marijuana.
