ST. PETERSBURG — A former manager at a St. Petersburg nursing home was arrested Thursday on charges that she stole money from a trust fund belonging to five of the home's residents.

Lafreida Evett Mannor, 49, was employed last year as a business manager at Alpine Health and Rehabilitation Center at 3456 21st Ave. S, according to an arrest report. In July, police said, she took $800 from a resident trust fund, which held money from five residents.

After an investigation, Mannor was arrested Thursday on a charge of grand theft. She was booked in the Pinellas County Jail and released on $2,000 bail.

An arrest report notes that Mannor is unemployed. It was unclear when she stopped working for the home.
