Pasco 5-month-old neglected; man arrested

ODESSA — Pasco sheriff's deputies arrested a 34-year-old man Sunday and said he failed to provide a 5-month-old child with the food, clothing, medical services and shelter "that a prudent person would consider essential for the well-being of the child," according to a report.

Deputies said they found the child while investigating a domestic battery complaint against Iran Dewayne Munn.

It was not released whether Munn was the baby's father, but deputies said he has a child with live-in girlfriend Andrea Vaughan, 23, who was listed as a co-defendant in the child neglect case. Vaughan was not arrested Sunday. The case is still under investigation.

According to the arrest report, the child had not seen a health care provider since birth. Deputies said the baby had also been left with a roommate for more than 20 hours without diapers or food.

Munn is at the Land O'Lakes jail with bail set at $1,500.

He was also charged with domestic battery for allegedly hitting Vaughan in the face.
