Pasco Clerk of Court employee arrested on child porn charge

PORT RICHEY — A Pasco County Clerk's Office employee was arrested Tuesday on a charge of transmitting child pornography.

Google tipped off detectives that Andrew Paul Staight, 23, was sending child pornography, according to a Pasco Sheriff's report. The tip also provided an address that led them to Staight's laptop.

Detectives got a warrant to search Staight's home Tuesday morning at 7715 Isabella Drive. Inside, the report states, they found his laptop with three videos of children engaged in sex acts.

Staight was arrested on one count of transmission of child pornography. He was released from the Land O'Lakes jail shortly before 2 p.m. Tuesday.

Authorities said Staight has been placed on administrative leave at the Clerk's Office.
