NEW PORT RICHEY — A 30-year-old is accused of driving under the influence and causing a car crash Thursday morning with a 17-month-old child in her vehicle.

The accident happened about 11:30 a.m. at State Road 54 and Rowan Road, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The report said Bethany A. Lindner "was driving impaired and collided with two other vehicles."

Linder laughed after the accident and slurred, swayed and nearly fell during the sobriety tests, FHP said.

Lindner, of New Port Richey, is charged with DUI, two counts of DUI with damage to property or person, DUI causing personal injury, knowingly driving with a suspended or revoked license and child neglect.

She remained Friday at the Land O'Lakes jail without bail.
