Man, 72, charged with sexual battery on teen girl

A 72-year-old man was arrested Wednesday after a 17-year-old girl alleged he'd been having sex with her weekly for the past three years.

The girl said Philip Earl Tracy began having sex with her when she was 14 and threatened her into the act several of those times, a Pasco County Sheriff's Office report states. The most recent time, the girl told deputies, was about two weeks ago at Tracy's home.

After interviewing the girl, detectives went to Tracy's home, where he told them he had sex with the girl three times when she was 16, the report said. Deputies arrested him on three counts of sexual battery.

He remained in the Land O'Lakes jail Thursday on no bail.

ST. PETERSBURG —The six runs seemed like a ton, just the second time the Rays had scored that many in a game during their numbing two-plus-weeks stretch of offensive impotency, and amazingly, the first time at the Trop in nearly two months.

Lucas Duda connects for a two-run home run in the sixth, getting the Rays within 7-5. A Logan Morrison home run in the ninth made it 7-6, but Tampa Bay couldn’t complete the comeback.
