Pasco pastor accused of molesting girl

BROOKSVILLE -- A Brooksville resident and area church pastor was arrested Wednesday for touching a girl between the age of 12 and 16 in a lewd and lascivious manner, a Hernando County Sheriff's Office report said.

Jason Allen Roberts, a 36-year-old pastor of Christian Fellowship Church in Dade City, was charged with a felony, according to the report.

Authorities interviewed the victim in January after she disclosed the incident to her boyfriend. During the interview, she said that in 2006 Roberts fondled her.

The report said Roberts admitted the act to his spouse, other family members and to members of his church, all of whom authorities interviewed.

No one answered at the phone number listed for the church.
