WESLEY CHAPEL

Brother accused of domestic battery

A deputy arrived at a home on Lindenhurst Drive to find Raymond Lester Fulton holding his sister down in a bathtub, authorities said.

The fight began Tuesday morning after the sister wouldn't let Fulton, 57, see their mother, he later told Pasco deputies. Fulton hit his sister several times with his fists and possibly a bolt cutter, according to the Pasco County Sheriff's Office report.

She was transported to the hospital with large bumps on her head, deep lacerations, loose teeth and a possibly broken jaw, the report said. Her condition was not available Wednesday.

Fulton was arrested on a charge of felony domestic battery and taken to Land O'Lakes Jail, where he remained Wednesday without bail.

Man greets police with hammer, knife

When deputies knocked on Andre Phillippe Hansotte's door Tuesday morning, he answered with a knife in one hand and a hammer in the other, authorities said. He told deputies he had just finished a 12-pack of beer and was starting on an 18-pack.

Deputies arrested Hansotte at his home on DiPaola Drive about 9:30 a.m. on a charge of aggravated assault after, they say, he approached a woman's car, yelling threats and waving a hammer at her, according to a Pasco County Sheriff's report.

Hansotte, 49, told deputies he only walked to the woman's car at DiPaola Drive and Mulberry Lane that morning to apologize for a past incident, the report said.

Hansotte was taken to Land O'Lakes Jail, where he remained Wednesday in lieu of $5,000 bail.

Child Protective Investigators are still looking into the incident, the report said.

Philpot was arrested Tuesday and taken to Land O'Lakes Jail. He was released on bail Wednesday.
