Pasco: Raided pain clinic director picks up gun charges

LAND O'LAKES — When Pasco deputies raided the Harbour Medical Group Clinic back in December, clinic director Ronald York removed a .22 caliber revolver from his waistband and slipped the firearm into a filing cabinet, authorities said.

York and two others were charged then with operating a pain clinic without a license. Authorities later discovered York, 63, had a lengthy record.

A Pasco sheriff's report says York had "multiple felony arrests and convictions in Michigan, California and Georgia" for everything from armed robbery and burglaries to tampering with U.S. Postal Mail.

York was a felon who had "no right" to carry a concealed firearm, deputies said. He was arrested Monday on being a felon in possession of a firearm and carrying a concealed firearm, and was released from the Land O'Lakes jail after posting $15,000 bail.
