Pasco woman shot in face during fight

HOLIDAY — Pasco deputies were investigating a fight early Monday that left a woman shot in the face.

The shooting happened at a mobile home at 1841 Holiday Drive just after 2 a.m. Deputies found the woman, who appears to be in her 40s, at the Buena Vista mobile home park.

Rescuers took the woman and another man to a hospital by helicopter. The woman had serious injuries, deputies said.

The 77-year-old man taken told deputies he was injured while fighting with another man at the time of the shooting.

Deputies were still questioning the second man, 52. He did not appear injured, deputies said.

So far, deputies have determined that one man had a gun, which went off and injured the woman.

Their names were not released. No arrests had been made early Monday.

The investigation continues.
