Pinellas deputies investigating fatal shooting in Largo

LARGO — A 38-year-old man was shot and killed on Thursday night. But aside from his name, the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office released no other details about the murder on Friday.

"It's still under investigation," said sheriff's spokeswoman Cecilia Barreda. "We don't have a motive at this point in time."

The deceased was identified as Terrance Bernard Thomas. He has addresses in Clearwater and Bradenton, according to records.

The Sheriff's Office said that Largo and Clearwater police officers responded to a report of a shooting at 703 Patterson Street sometime around 10:30 p.m. and found Thomas.

Since the incident took place in the sheriff's jurisdiction, they are conducting the death investigation. But that investigation was still ongoing on Friday and no other details about Thomas or the circumstances surrounding his death were released.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to contact Pinellas sheriff's Detective Rob Snipes at (727) 582-6200.
