LARGO — Authorities arrested a man Friday morning who they say robbed a Chartway Federal Credit Union nine days ago by slipping the teller a note.

At 11:30 a.m. Pinellas County Sheriff's deputies spotted Edward Warren, 43, near U.S. 19 and Ulmerton Road.

He was arrested and taken to the Pinellas County Jail, charged with robbery and was held in lieu of $150,000 bail.

The robbery happened on Jan. 22, at the Chartway Federal Credit Union at 6540 Fourth St. N. Cameras and witnesses captured a man slipping the teller the note, and later riding away on a bicycle.

A warrant for his arrest was issued earlier this week.

Warren is listed as a transient and has been previously charged with crimes ranging from possession of cocaine to vehicular burglary.
