TAMPA — A Plant High School student was arrested Tuesday after police say she wrote threats on a bathroom wall and on Twitter that she would blow up the school.

Anna Speights, 18, faces a felony charge of making a false bomb threat, Tampa police said.

Investigators focused on her after another student tipped them off when a school announcement offered a reward.

Police said that on Monday, she wrote in pencil on a bathroom wall at the school, 2415 S Himes Ave., that she was going to blow it up.

On Tuesday, the school announced a Crime Stoppers reward up to $500, and a student called in a tip.

Police said that Speights confessed to writing the threat, saying she was angry she had been suspended from the school bus for 10 days.
