One driver involved in a multi-car crash in Pinellas Park that wounded three people Wednesday did not have a valid license and was driving a stolen vehicle, according to police.

Matthew Rhine, 25, of Pinellas Park is accused of driving while his license was suspended or revoked with serious bodily injury and failing to stop at a stop sign. Officers responded about 7:15 a.m. to the 6600 block of 66th Street N where a van had swiped a truck then smashed into a sedan. Rhine was in a 2008 Chevrolet Malibu that also held two children.

Police said they later learned he had stolen the car. He failed to yield to a stop sign at 66th Street, which prompted the crash, according to investigators.

Rhine and his two juvenile passengers were acquainted, according to police. They all suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
