A 26-year-old woman was arrested Wednesday morning after she stabbed her mother in the chest, police said.

Police were called to 4080 71st Ter. at 2:50 a.m., where Felicia Sherk's mother, Amy Campbell, was suffering from a stab wound in the chest after an argument about Sherk living in the house, police said.

Campbell, 42, was taken to Bayfront Health St. Petersburg with non-life threatening injuries, police said.

Sherk fled, but a Pinellas Park police canine unit found her. She is being held in the Pinellas County jail without bail on a charge of attempted murder.
