ST. PETERSBURG — Just before 8 Wednesday morning, police say, a manager at Red Mesa Cantina saw a man with six bottles of alcohol jump over the restaurant's gate and run down an alley.
A surveillance video showed the man, dressed in a baseball cap and shorts, break into Red Mesa's cabinets and steal about $1,000 in booze. Investigators say they believe he may have raided the cabinets several times during the night.
Later that morning, police say, a witness saw Randall Clyde Brown, 45, at Williams Park passing out shots of alcohol near a bus stop. When officers found him Wednesday, they say he was holding bottles of Bauchant liqueur and Seagram's sweet tea flavored vodka.
Brown has been arrested in Pinellas 51 times since 2005 on charges that include public urination, disorderly intoxication and possessing an open container of alcohol. His most recent charges include possessing alcohol in a city park and burglary. He is being held on $10,250 bail.
