Police say robber grabbed bottle of the usual at Zephyrhills liquor store

ZEPHYRHILLS — Identifying the man who robbed Robby's Liquors wasn't difficult: The thief is a regular customer, authorities said.

Gary Schryver, 50, pointed an 8-inch kitchen knife at a store clerk and demanded $50 on the evening of Aug. 13, according to the Zephyrhills Police Department. On his way out, the report said, Schryver grabbed his usual: a mini bottle of Red Stag, which is Jim Beam bourbon infused with black cherries.

Detectives arrested Schryver Thursday. He is charged with armed robbery with a deadly weapon. Schryver, of 40050 Pretty Red Bird Road in Zephyrhills, told investigators "he had no involvement in the robbery," the report states. He is being held at the Pasco County jail in lieu of $150,000 bail.
