TAMPA — Police are searching for a man they say shot a Tampa woman on Tuesday night.
During a disturbance in front of a residence at 1808 E 23rd Ave., a man fired multiple shots in the area, striking 26-year-old Marie Williams once in the stomach, police said.
Williams is in stable condition at a local hospital, police said.
An apartment, at 1902 E 23rd Ave., and a car parked in front of it, were also struck by bullets. Multiple shell casings were recovered from the scene, police said.
The man's whereabouts are unknown. He is described as having short hair and wearing a black shirt and red basketball shorts.
