Police seek man suspected of robbing New Port Richey CVS

Man sought in CVS robbery, stabbing threat

Authorities are searching for a suspect who threatened to stab a CVS cashier during a robbery at about 6 p.m. Sunday.

The man, estimated to be in his 30s, entered the store at U.S. 19 and Gulf Drive and demanded money from the cashier. The suspect threatened to stab the cashier, but did not show a weapon, said Lt. Arthur Madden of the New Port Richey Police Department. The cashier was not injured and the robber fled the store with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect remained at large Wednesday. He is described as average height, with short hair and clean-shaven. He wore a black mid-length coat, a black hat and tan shorts.

Anyone with information may call (727) 841-4550.
