Police seek suspect after fatal shooting in Largo

LARGO — A man was shot and killed late Saturday night in the middle of a residential Largo street, according to police.

Police responded to a report of the shooting just after 8:30 p.m. near 415 Woodrow Ave. When officers arrived, they found the man, who was not immediately identified, lying in the middle of the street, officials said.

He was pronounced dead soon after.

Before he was shot, the man was sitting in a silver car with the unidentified shooter, police said. He was dumped into the street before the car sped away.

Officers were canvassing the area near the shooting scene late Saturday, stopping cars that matched the description.

No other information about the shooting was immediately available.
