TAMPA — Lisa Ann Mowrey, whose remains were discovered by Interstate 275, died from homicidal violence that included head trauma, the Hillsborough County Medical Examiner's Office said Friday.
Mowrey, an 18-year-old beauty school student, went missing in 2004. Two blueberry farmers stranded on the side of I-275 found her remains last month.
She was identified with dental records. Then the Medical Examiner's Office went to work on determining the cause of death.
On Friday, a doctor signed her death certificate.
Detectives are still investigating, Tampa police said.
