Police: Tampa convenience store clerk shot dead during apparent robbery attempt

TAMPA — Police are investigating the death of a convenience store clerk fatally shot during an apparent robbery attempt Sunday.

Officers arrived at the store, called 29th Street Store, located at 2802 N. 29th St., just after 12:30 p.m. to find Mohamoud Ibrahim, 60, unresponsive, police said. No suspects have been identified.
