TAMPA — The woman police say stabbed her boyfriend and herself in the chest Monday night was arrested Tuesday.
Just after 10 p.m., Lucia M. Moreta-Rodriguez, 43, was arguing with her Jose Peralsoquendo, at their home at 1136 W Chesnut St. Police said she was angry because Peralsoquendo told her to move out.
An arrest report states that Moreta-Rodriguez stabbed Peralsoquendo in the upper chest with a knife before stabbing herself in the chest, saying, "We are both going to jail tonight."
Peralsoquendo fled to a neighbor's apartment and called police before he was hospitalized with injuries not thought to be life-threatening.
Moreta-Rodriguez ran away. Police were searching for her Tuesday morning, and arrested her when they tracked her down.
Police said she has prior arrests accusing her of assaulting Peralsoquendo.
