Police arrested two men Saturday who they say stole more than $2,000 in designer purses from local stores.
On July 16, George W. Reed, 19, Vangelios Hristov, 24, and another person walked into a T.J. Maxx store and left with five Michael Kors purses valued at $895, St. Petersburg police said.
The next day, authorities say, they stole eight Michael Kors purses valued at $1,432 from a Marshalls store at 2036 66th St. N.
Police received a tip based on surveillance video they released and arrested Reed and Vangelios. They are still searching for the third suspect.
Both men were charged with grand theft.
