Port Richey man accused of sending porn to teen in Utah

PORT RICHEY

Report: 28-year-old sent porn to Utah teen

A 28-year-old man was arrested on charges of sending pornographic images to a 14-year-old girl in Utah.

A detective with the West Jordan Police Department in Utah contacted the Pasco County Sheriff's Office with information indicating Michael Joseph Schlager had sent sexually explicit images from his Gmail account, according to a report. Under subpoena, Google gave authorities the subscriber information for that email account.

Schlager, who listed his occupation as a McDonald's manager in Port Richey, admitted using his computer to send the images to a teen he met in a chat room, the report said. He said they were engaged in sexually explicit chats.

Schlager was charged Wednesday with transmission of material harmful to a minor. He was released from the Land O'Lakes jail after posting $5,000 bail.
