PORT RICHEY – A woman was arrested Thursday after, deputies say, she excused herself from a drug deal, left a 2-year-old boy in the care of the drug buyer and didn't come back.
The buyer turned out to be a Pasco County Sheriff's deputy, in an undercover investigation.
Summer Bless Wilkerson, 26, is accused of selling oxycodone on Nov. 7 and selling dilaudid, another narcotic pain reliever, on Thursday.
At about 7:20 p.m., according to a Pasco County Sheriff's Office report, Wilkerson, of 7508 Clover Drive, was selling 10 pills to the deputy for $230. Wilkerson told the deputy she had some of the pills, but that she would get the rest from a friend's house and left the deputy there with the toddler, the report states.
After an hour of texting and calling Wikerson without her responding or coming back, the report states, the deputy knocked on the door of the house and left the child with Wilkerson's boyfriend.
Deputies arrested Wilkerson later that night on charges of possession of a controlled substance, sale of a controlled substance and child neglect. She remained in Land O'Lakes jail Friday in lieu of $35,000 bail.
