Redington Shores man accused of molesting woman while she slept

REDINGTON SHORES — Police have arrested a man they said molested a woman who was visiting him last summer.

Jeffrey L. Damore, 55, of Redington Shores, faces a charge of sexual battery.

The woman, whose age was not released, was visiting Damore with her parents last September for a holiday weekend, according to the Indian Shores Police Department.

The woman told detectives the group went to a local tavern and returned to Damore's home. She fell asleep. Sometime during, the night, however, she woke and found Damore molesting her, police said.

Damore denied the woman's allegations.

But according to court documents, his DNA was found on her clothing. Officers arrested him Thursday. He was released from the Pinellas County Jail on a surety bond Friday afternoon
