Riverview man accused of raping 12-year-old girl

RIVERVIEW — A man accused of raping a 12-year-old girl was arrested Wednesday, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said.

The girl told her mother recently that Jonathan Perreault, 27, had been sexually abusing her since January 2010.

When confronted by the girl's mother, Perreault admitted to abusing her daughter.

Perreault faces six counts of sexual battery on a minor. He was booked into the Hillsborough County jail, where he remained Thursday without bail.
