Riverview man faces child porn charges

RIVERVIEW — A 65-year-old man was arrested Tuesday after investigators discovered several images of child pornography at his home, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said.

Deputies arrived at Herbert Bowers' home at 9514 Sunnyoak Drive with a search warrant. They discovered several files depicting children between 3 and 12 years of age, an arrest affidavit shows.

Bowers admitted to downloading the images, authorities said. He faces 17 counts of child pornography.

Bowers was booked into the Hillsborough County Jail where he remained Wednesday on $127,500 bail.
