TAMPA — A 49-year-old Riverview man tried to sexually solicit a child online, the state Attorney General's Office said.
Arthur J. Passeri, of 10815 Brickside Court, faces two counts of possession of child pornography, two counts of using a computer to solicit certain illegal actions and transmission of harmful material to a minor, jail records show. He was released from Orient Road Jail on $10,000 bail Friday.
Investigators say Passeri engaged in online conversations with someone he thought was a 13-year-old boy but was actually an undercover investigator.
Passeri admitted to the online conversations and gave investigators a computer, some disks and several CDs that are believed to contain child pornography, investigators say.
Passeri told investigators there are additional victims. Anyone with information is asked to call the CyberCrime Unit's Tampa office at (813) 287-7930.
