ST. PETERSBURG — Police are searching for the man who stabbed Kenneth Leroy Swain in the neck around 11 p.m. Monday.

A witness saw an unidentified man begin arguing with Swain at the back door of his home at 327 25th St. S, despite being asked to leave, according to St. Petersburg police. Swain, 48, later entered a front room and told the witness, "Get me an ambulance," according to police spokesman George Kajtsa. Swain was taken to a local hospital as a trauma alert.

The suspect is being sought on a charge of second-degree attempted murder.
