ZEPHYRHILLS — A registered sexual predator convicted on four counts of crimes against children was accused this week of sexually abusing a young girl repeatedly over the last two years.
Victor Nelson, 49, was charged with lewd and lascivious molestation for putting his hands underneath the clothing of a 13-year-old girl, Pasco deputies said. The abuse, the girl told her family, began in the summer of 2009 and lasted through this year.
Nelson denied the molestation, a deputy wrote, but said he is sexually attracted to girls the victim's age.
Nelson was convicted in Pasco in 2000 for a lewd and lascivious act in the presence of a child younger than 16. In 2006, he was convicted of three more charges, including two counts of molesting a child younger than 12 and sexual battery of a child between 12 and 15.
Nelson was listed in an arrest report as homeless. The state's sexual offender registry said he last lived in Zephyrhills.
Nelson had been in the Land O'Lakes jail for a week on charges of violating probation when he was charged with molestation on Thursday.
