SPRING HILL — Authorities have accused a BP gas station clerk of selling alcohol to a minor.
Jayendrakumar Babulal Patel, 21, sold a 16-ounce can of Mike's Hard Lemonade to a confidential informant in the store at 1394 Commercial Way on Tuesday evening, according to a Hernando County sheriff's report.
Patel was arrested and held in lieu of $500 bail. The suspect, authorities say, did not have a driver's license but did provide sheriff's deputies with his Indian passport as identification.
