Spring Hill man arrested, accused of attempting to sell drugs near a school and church

SPRING HILL — Hernando sheriff's deputies arrested a 23-year-old man, accusing him of attempting to sell drugs within 1,000 feet of Springstead High School and Spring Hill United Church of Christ.

Dylan Maxwell Sigler was charged Wednesday with seven counts of drug possession and single counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a firearm by a felon.

He remained in the Hernando County Jail on Thursday; no bail had been set.

Detectives with a search warrant went to Sigler's home at 4095 Montano Ave. and seized a .380-caliber semiautomatic handgun, more than 10 grams of marijuana, 1.3 grams of crack cocaine, nearly a half-dozen controlled substances in pill form, paraphernalia including marijuana smoking pipes and other items containing cocaine and marijuana residue.

Based on their find, detectives determined Sigler was attempting to sell marijuana near the church and the high school, according to the arrest report.
