SPRING HILL — Two Spring Hill teens, ages 13 and 14, face burglary charges after, authorities say, they broke into Fox Chapel Middle School and stole several items from classrooms.
The Hernando County Sheriff's Office said the suspects, whose names the Times is withholding because they are juveniles, entered the school, off Deltona Boulevard, on Thursday evening after breaking a window with a rock. They ransacked desks and closets in several classrooms, the Sheriff's Office said, and left with several items, including two laptop computers, computer speakers, batteries, a backpack and master keys to the school.
The suspects admitted they committed the burglary, according to the Sheriff's Office, and authorities were able to retrieve the stolen items. Both face charges of commercial burglary and were taken to a juvenile holding facility in Ocala.
