St. Pete man accused of molesting 10-year-old girl

ST. PETERSBURG — A 41-year-old man was arrested Thursday morning after police said he sexually abused a 10-year-old girl.

Elgin Kane Hall faces a charge of lewd or lascivious molestation, which could carry a sentence of life in prison, St. Petersburg police said.

Hall, who has previously served prison time for felony drug convictions, was baby-sitting the girl at his 6815 19th St. N home on March 30 when the abuse occurred, police said. The girl's mother found out and notified authorities, police said.

Hall remained in the Pinellas County Jail Thursday in lieu of $250,000 bail.
