ST. PETERSBURG - Police arrested a man who admitted to kidnapping his ex-girlfriend after hiding in the trunk of her car and raping her at his home.

Bojan Kokotovic, 24, is charged with aggravated assault, kidnapping, sexual battery, burglary and aggravated stalking and is being held without bail in the Pinellas County Jail.

According to an arrest report, Kokotovic went to the female victim's residence on Saturday night when she did not answer several phone calls, climbed to a second-story window and began calling her again as he tapped on the glass.

According to police, he then broke into and hid in the trunk of the victim's 2002 Daewoo four-door after she went to work and, when she later returned to her car to drive home, he sprung into the passenger seat. Kokotovic admitted to police later that he forced the victim to pull over and change places in the car so he could drive her to his home at 6534 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. St. N., where he raped her.

Kokotovic also admitted to police that he threatened the victim by splitting an apple with a large kitchen knife and saying he would do the same to her head if she didn't do as instructed. According to the police report, the suspect and victim had dated for about six months.

According to Pinellas County courts records, Kokotovic had dating violence and domestic violence petitions for injunction filed against him by a different woman, Vanja Stojanovic, in 2007 and 2008, respectively, but neither were granted because of "insufficient evidence."
