St. Petersburg man dies after being struck by car on U.S. 19 in Port Richey

PORT RICHEY — A 57-year-old St. Petersburg man struck by a car on U.S. 19 last week has died, the Florida Highway Patrol said Monday.

The man, whose name has not been released, was standing in the center lane of northbound U.S. 19 near Colfax Drive about 11 p.m. Friday when he was struck by a northbound Toyota Camry, troopers said.

The man was taken to Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point and later died from his injuries. Troopers were working Monday to notify his relatives.

The driver of the Camry, 50-year-old Glen Paul Robison of Holiday, was not injured.
