ST. PETERSBURG — Police are searching for two men who robbed a man of a Louis Vuitton wallet, $1,500 cash and an $8,000 necklace.
Police said Brejon Fowler, 21, and his friend were hanging outside his grandmother's home in the 1400 block of 12th Avenue S when two masked men approached them shortly after 9:30 p.m. Thursday.
The masked men had guns and demanded Fowler's property, which included the designer wallet, jewelry and the necklace, made of white diamonds.
They also took the other man's car keys, police spokesman Mike Puetz said.
Fowler, listed in a police report as a student at Hillsborough County Community College, told police he didn't know who the men were.
The armed men ran off, firing a couple shots in the air as they did, police said.
Police did not have a detailed description of the suspects Friday. They continue to investigate.
