ST. PETERSBURG — A 37-year-old mother is accused of driving under the influence with her two kids aboard.

Tracy Ann Sheridan of St. Petersburg was charged with DUI and child abuse. She was released from the Pinellas County Jail on $2,500 bail Monday.

Police said Sheridan was driving Sunday to the RaceTrac gas station at 2227 28th St. N about 7:30 p.m. to get beer and cigarettes. Her two children, 8 and 7, were inside.

Police said she failed a field sobriety test and then refused to take a Breathalyzer test.
