St. Petersburg man arrested in Missouri in connection with Pinellas Trail robberies

ST. PETERSBURG — An 18-year-old St. Petersburg man has been arrested in Missouri on local robbery charges, including two that are connected to attacks on the Pinellas Trail.

Stephon Alexander Farrar was arrested in St. Louis Wednesday morning. St. Petersburg police said he is connected to three robberies.

• May 20: Police said Farrar robbed a 16-year-old on the Pinellas Trail near 70th Street and 13th Avenue N. Police said Farrar threatened the teen with a Taser and took his cellphone.

• June 21: Police said Farrar robbed a pizza delivery driver at gunpoint near 51st Street and Fifth Avenue S.

• June 23: Police said Farrar robbed a 15-year-old on the Pinellas Trail, taking his cellphone, near 70th Street and 13th Avenue N.

Arrangements for extradition to Pinellas County are ongoing, police said.
