St. PetersburgDrug bust on the high seas


Crew members of the U.S. Coast Guard cutter Richard Etheridge offload 1,500 pounds of cocaine with a wholesale value of $23 million Monday at the St. Petersburg station at 600 Eighth Ave. SE. The drugs were seized Wednesday during a patrol of the western Caribbean by the crew of the Coast Guard cutter Tampa, with assistance from U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
