Suspect arrested in Thanksgiving Day shooting in Wesley Chapel

WESLEY CHAPEL — Deputies on Friday arrested a suspect in the Thanksgiving Day shooting of a 37-year-old Wesley Chapel man.

Jean Lorenzo Gabaree, 34, is suspected of shooting the man, whose name was not released, in the abdomen about 2:20 p.m. Thursday after an argument at a home at 7821 Blair Drive, according to the Pasco Sheriff's Office. He was arrested Friday and booked into the Land O'Lakes Detention Center on a charge of attempted murder.

The shooting victim was recovering in a local hospital, deputies said.

No other details were released.

State records show Gabaree has been arrested nine times in Florida, with convictions for grand theft and possession of a controlled substance without a prescription.
