Suspect wanted in Clearwater robbery and shooting caught

CLEARWATER — A suspect in a Dec. 29 shooting was arrested late Saturday night in Leon County, according to police.

Timothy Lamar Miller, 39, faces charges of armed robbery and aggravated battery with a firearm stemming from the shooting and robbery of a man in a car outside Coachman Creek Apartments, according to Clearwater police.

Emily A. Burgos, 25, was also sought in connection with the crime on a charge of armed robbery. No information was released Sunday on her location.

The victim, who was not named, survived the shooting.

Miller spent nearly 12 years in state prison and has convictions for aggravated assault, firing a weapon into a vehicle or building, assault on an officer, cocaine possession and grand theft firearm. He was released in July from the Century Correctional Institution in the Panhandle.
