Tampa attorney charged with cocaine possession, driving under the influence

TAMPA — A Tampa attorney was charged Tuesday with cocaine possession and driving under the influence, arrest records show.

Lisa Norton Wysong, 39, of Valrico, heads her own law firm, Norton Wysong Law, P.A., in Tampa, according to the firm's website.

Wysong was arrested Tuesday around 10:15 a.m. after she ran a red light at the intersection of Meridian Avenue N and Kennedy Boulevard, records show.

Wysong stepped out of the car, eyes glassy and smelling of alcohol, the report said. She was belligerent and uncooperative with the officers, and refused field sobriety tests. After she was booked, the report said, officers found a small baggie of cocaine that Wysong was carrying with her.

Her biography on her firm's website says she is a Tampa Bay native who graduated with honors from the University of Florida in 1997 and the Emory University School of Law in 2000. She has been a member of the Florida Bar since 2001.
